The Bug
When a Abandoned Portal intersecting with a village, there is a chance that the netherracks generated by portal structure could replace farmland, but not destroy the existing crop on that replaced farmland block.
Steps to reproduce:
Generate a new world with seed -2324492432514134047, teleport to X=1387 Y=128 Z=-473.
The affected crop is located at X=1388 Y=127 Z=-472.
Observed results:
The farmland block is replaced with netherrack, with a crop generated on it.
Expected results:
The farmland block shouldn't be replaced, or that crop shouldn't exist.

This report is focused on "crop could generated on farmland", not "ruined portal can intersect with village".
the crops are not generated on top of the farmland because the village and the ruined portal overlap.
"overlapping of ruined portals and villages" was resolved as a Intended behavior, and your report is the same except for the difference in where the overlap occurs.
This is not intended behavior, crops shouldn't generate on blocks they can't be placed on. See MC-226027 for example.
Can confirm. This relates to or duplicates MC-226027.
