You can die in any gamemode by falling in the void

Falling for a few seconds in the void allows you to die in creative. You are not supposed to be able to die in creative mode.

I think this is working as intended, as it's pretty easy to still fly back up and it's better than being stuck in the void if you fall.

This is intentional. You're supposed to die by falling out of the world regardless of your mode.

I'd love it if Mojang would release in fix for this in a future version of Minecraft.
