the player still "dies" even though in creative mode

Can you explain in more detail / show a video of the bug happening?

it happens when a player in CREATIVE MODE falls into the void

it happens like this(video on top of the comment)

We are tracking this issue in MC-2437, so this ticket is being resolved and linked as a duplicate.

That ticket has already been resolved as Works As Intended, which means this is not considered a bug and will not be fixed. Please do not leave a comment on the linked ticket.

Additionally, your game, launcher, or server is modified. Please only report issues that you have verified to be present in a vanilla environment, and make use of the search feature to see whether an issue has already been reported.
