[MC-244315] fog in 1.18

The fog/ (simulated distance) in this most recent version is awful it should be possible to disable it. it honestly make me a bit nauseous, and i struggle to see anything, at the very least make it client side for realms cause cause the realm I'm on already has a pretty short render distance, and the fog makes it way to short

Absolutely awful for flying around, especially in the End. AWFUL. I understand and appreciate the aesthetic it gives but FFS give us an option to, at the most, set fog distance the way we set render distance, or at the least, have an enable/disable option for it. Definitely substantial enough to say that it massively hurt an otherwise incredible update

i saw that one but it was marked a resolved but since its only in pre-release i feel thats not really resolved since i will still have the issue on realms since there only on 1.18

It's fixed in 1.18.1-pre1 which will be released in the future. It is true that the fix has not been officially released, but it will be included in the next release.
