The bug
Multicolored beacon beams can cause a heavy FPS decrease compared to non-colored or single-colored beams. This can be an issue when a large amount of multicolored beacons are placed around for decoration purposes or other reasons.
How to reproduce
Place a 3x3 of beacons on a pyramid
Place around 12-24 or more stained glass/panes with different colors per beacon beam
Notice the frame rate, results might differ on hardware

I can reproduce the issue, can be reproduced with torch or other light sources as well(FPS drop dependent on gamma and glass used).
I am unable to reproduce this issue, could you confirm that you can still reproduce this issue on the latest version?
If so, could you provide an updated screenshot of the FPS?

Additionally, I attached a world so it can be reproduced easily.
Note that the frame rate impact may vary between machines. In this case, the impact is very high on a low end pc.
Normal FPS: around 130
