The Bug

when the player is in a chest boat and is under a hopper, the players position lowers

Reproduce

  • Build a setup like in the images below

  • Get a Boat Chest

  • Ride in the boat chest into the hopper

  • Press F5

Observed Result

The players position lowered

Expected Result

The players position wouldn't lower

This issue was present in 1.20.1, but no longer occurs in versions above or equal to 23w31a. This issue was fixed in 23w31a.
