There is an unused recipe book button texture in the crafting table and inventory gui texture. The texture that is actually used in game is recipe_button.png in the gui folder

that's the hover texture

The hover texture is in recipe_button.png, these ones are just not used at all. I've made changes to this button in resource packs in the past and these ones don't do anything

This issue is now fixed as of 23w31a from sprites being moved to their own files
