can't download the game

I am unable to download the game despite having bought it nearly a year ago, i think my main issue stems from the merge of my mojang account to microsoft. i tried to download the game on my new computer and i keep getting an error stating i cant download and to check my account. i at one point had it freeze while downloading and had to force quit the installer because it was messing up my computer. In all i paid $30 for this game and i want to be able to play it.
