MOTD messages with styling in them work fine for a regular server connection but do not work for LAN server connections. See "Local Server External" vs the given LAN result:
[media]Dedicated servers can be broadcasted to LAN via MineOS, which is how I do so in the screenshot for my dedicated server.

However on server restart the MOTD is changed automatically and produces this:
[media]And this is the new value of the MOTD
motd=§kPoggers§r – §lOfficial §2E-Tards §rMC Server – §kPoggers§r
To clarify, I got the result before this by starting the server with the regular escape character "§" then changing it while its running and saving.
Try replacing the "§"s with section signs (§) in the LAN world.
