[MC-255615] Textures swap with random PNG files

Textures swap with random PNG files such as other textures, online player skins' texture, etc.
this also sometimes remove specific letters from text in game like chat.

the bug changes textures when applying and removing texture packs. it could persist when removing all texture packs.
