Waterlogged mangrove roots have the wrong map color

Mangrove roots appear brown on the map even when waterlogged. This is inconsistent with other waterlogged blocks such as leaves, slabs stairs, etc which all take on the water color.

I too can confirm this behavior though I'm pretty sure this is intentional given the triaging of both MC-222929 and MC-249676. These two reports suggest that the blocks' top faces should determine the color that they appear on maps. With waterlogged mangrove roots, since more brown pixels are present from a top-down view, I feel as if the map color should reflect this as it currently does, and I'm inclined to feel this way since both MC-222929 and MC-249676 have an assigned "Mojang Priority".

Deciding the map color based on how transparent a texture is is very arbitrary and can very easily change. It would be more ideal if there was just some consistency that was stuck to.

Considered "sticks out above the water" an criteria?
Models extremely rarely change between versions.
