Not sure if this is a bug or intentional, but if you are sneaking and moving forward, you cannot fall off the edge of a block. However, if you jump while sneaking and moving forward, you can fall off the edge of a block. It seems that while sneaking, you should not be able to move forward past the edge of a block to a different vertical level (as if there is an invisible wall there). Right now this only seems to be a property that exists while you are standing on a solid block.

This is intended behaviour. Jumping allows you to maintain sneaking while moving to a higher block. This also means you can go to a lower block (fall) while sneaking, if you jump.
I don't understand what this means by "resolved." Does that mean something was changed? Or does it mean that it has been established that this is intended behavior? I would really not like to have this "fix" implemented.
Hi Jordan, the "resolved" was because of the "Work as intented" on the "resolution" column.
Imagine that you are standing right on the edge of a building, if you jump you'll lose balance and fall. Sure Minecraft is not too much on the realistic side, but the sneaking only works as long as you are touching the ground.
Not sure about the "fix version" column, maybe it was a mistake.
This is intended, and has been around for years.
