Villager despawning

Almost all villagers in my village have despawned. Even villagers I've already traded with. They didn't despawn all at once but one after another. Also happened in another world. There are enough beds in the village, there should be enough light and there are Iron Golems that protect the villagers. So is there another reason they despawn or is this a bug?
