Warden's smelling detection distance of horizonal and vertical is inconsistent

The Bug

The same distance, in different axis, is inconsistent for Warden when it smells.

For example, put a mob 24 horizonal blocks away; when Warden smells, it has to get closer even closest to feel that mob sus.

As for same vertical distance, however, Warden can feel that at once - only one time of smelling.

Cannot reproduce. When spawning an entity and prepetually teleporting them 24 blocks away from the warden, the behavior is consistent both vertically and horizontally:

Horizontal:

(Note: this was also tried in reverse with the warden on the top command block and the villager at the bottom)

Tried to reproduce in 1.20.3 but failed.
