The ages of carrots and potatoes are visually identical but consist of different hitboxes

The Bug:

The ages of carrots and potatoes are visually identical but consist of different hitboxes.

Torchflower crops are being tracked at MC-260478, and nether wart is being tracked at MC-193748. Since the nether wart problem has been triaged and confirmed to be an issue by Mojang, I believe that this report (MC-260483) should follow a similar resolution.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Summon two potatoes, one of which has an "age" state of "4", and the other which has an "age" state of "6", by using the command provided below.

    /setblock ~1 ~1 ~1 minecraft:potatoes[age=4]
    /setblock ~1 ~1 ~3 minecraft:potatoes[age=6]
  2. Observe how the potatoes visually look the same.

  3. Observe the hitboxes of the potatoes.

  4. Take note as to whether or not the ages of carrots and potatoes are visually identical but consist of different hitboxes.

Observed Behavior:

The ages of carrots and potatoes are visually identical but consist of different hitboxes.

Expected Behavior:

The ages of carrots and potatoes would not be visually identical and consist of different hitboxes.

The only ones with issues here (aside from those with their own reports) are potatoes and carrots. This is not clearly indicated within your report.

Thank you; I've updated this ticket.
