The game doesn't autosave world data and player data at the same time

Searched and was unable to find this.

My computer crashed while I was playing and when I loaded it back up, all the blocks were exactly as before the crash, however, my inventory was several minutes behind. I was organising my storage room at the time which caused the items I had just removed from the chest I was cleaning out to be erased, and items which I had organised before to be duplicated.
