The Bug:

Using the "/setblock", "/fill", or "/clone" commands to create little amounts of blocks in completely isolated areas causes large client-side stutters.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Create a new world with cheats enabled.

  2. Switch to creative mode, begin flying, and teleport high in the sky by using the command provided below.

    /tp @s ~ 318 ~
  3. Enable the debug graphs by pressing ALT+F3.

  4. Summon a stone block next to you by using the command provided below.

    /setblock ~1 ~ ~1 minecraft:stone
  5. Watch your game closely as you run this command.

  6. Take note as to whether or not using the "/setblock", "/fill", or "/clone" commands to create little amounts of blocks in completely isolated areas causes large client-side stutters.

Observed Behavior:

Large client-side stutters occur.

Expected Behavior:

No client-side stutters occur.
