1.20-pre1 Crowdin strings contain outdated item names and partially mixed up translation keys

The Bug:

The new Crowdin strings for 1.20-pre1 reintroduced all outdated "shard" strings, which now coexist with the "sherd" strings of 23w16a; in addition, four pottery shard strings with mixed-up invalid translation keys were uploaded, which are not present in-game.

The additional new "shard" instead of "sherd" strings apply to all pottery sherds, the strings with additional mixed up translation keys apply to the "Archer Pottery Shard", "Arms Up Pottery Shard", "Prize Pottery Shard" and "Skull Pottery Shard".

Below is a table I've constructed that highlights this error on an example. You can find information about what the current and superfluous string is and would be, the key to it, and a link to the appropriate string on Crowdin.

Affected Strings:

Before reading the table, please note the following:

  • Keys/Strings colored in GREEN are correct.

  • Keys/Strings colored in RED are incorrect.

h3. Steps to Reproduce:

  • Locate the affected strings as listed above on Crowdin.

  • Take note as to whether or not these strings are superfluos and unused or not.

Observed Behavior:

New unused strings with outdated and wrong translation keys have been added to Crowdin with no explanation as to why.

Expected Behavior:

No unused strings with outdated and wrong translation keys will be added to Crowdin without an explanation.

Why exactly isthis intended? This effectively means that the game gets several unused translation keys in the language files, wasting memory.

Translations for older versions, such as Pottery Shards in 1.19.4, were unintentionally removed but have been reintroduced intentionally as part of the new key management system to maintain version compatibility and avoid breaking translations for previously released versions.

This is also present in en_us, though, which is stored in the client and doesn't need to maintain compatibility.

I guess a new report should be made for that then.
Note that it also applies to the other languages, not just en_us.
