The bug
Opening or closing a copper door or trapdoor while holding an axe / honeycomb grants wax-related advancement:
Opening or closing a waxed copper door/trapdoor while holding an axe grants the "Wax Off" advancement.
Opening or closing a copper door/trapdoor while holding honeycomb grants the "Wax On" advancement.
To reproduce
Place a waxed copper trapdoor.
Hold an axe and open it.
Alternatively:
Place a copper trapdoor.
Hold honeycomb and open it.
Observed result
The advancement is granted.
Expected result
The advancement should not be granted, as the wax wasn't actually scraped off / applied to the block.
