[MC-266659] castaway achievement is unobtainable in snapshot 23w45a

i have been eating dried kelp and nothing but dried kelp for near two hours straight without sleeping or leaving the game and have not received the achievement castaway

Sorry, but "Castaway" is an achievement from Bedrock, not Java

Bedrock Edition uses a different advancement system than Java Edition. This is not a Java Edition advancement.

Castaway is a bedrock edition advancement and thus java edition does not have it.
