I was harvesting the bee hive with no campfire and closed the door to prevent the bees from attacking me. I stayed close to the door and the bees tried to attack but couldn't through the door. (When they attack they spin)They stayed in the upside-down position until I moved away. Further testing might be needed. The image is a bit unclear, but you can see the upside-down bees through the door.
HOW TO REPLICATE
Build a small house, about the size of a village house.
Put the bee nest/hive in the house (with bees inside)
Once honey gets made, shear the hive, go outside and close the door
The bees will attempt to attack through the door and will stay upside down.

I tested this in 1.20.1 multiple times, and the issue was not apparent, so the issue might have been introduced in 1.20.2.
Can also be seen by repeatedly blocking them with a shield. It makes them look like they're just sliding along the floor. (Also, the shield variant of this, at the very least, definitely existed pre-1.20.2. (@RiskEdits))

I tested what you said, and I got the same results. It is kind of funny-looking 😃 so Mojang might say that its an "intended feature" (JK)
For the information of the moderators, although I have mods enabled, none of them would affect the bees. I can check in an unmodded instance if needed.
UPDATE: I have just tested in an unmodded instance, the issue still exists.
