[MC-267840] throwing an item while switching to another causes the item you switched to to become invisible and the one you threw is able to be seen by another player but does nothing

if you have 2 non stackable items in your hotbar and you switch to another spot on your hotbar as you use your throw key the original item will throw but stay in your hotbar and taking up a slot and others can see it it just doesnt have the same properties but the slot you switched to will be empty and items can go into it but will have all the properties of the item that was in that slot

Can confirm in 23w51b, in Singleplayer, survival mode or creative mode. Item duplication seems to only occur in creative mode.
