Jungle saplings drop at half the rate of other saplings when breaking the appropriate leaf block. It may at first appear this is to do with trees having bigger leaf density, but if compared to spruce trees, which have more leaf density in both regular and giant trees, yet still have the regular drop rate, this seems to be unintended.

I’ve seen a bunch of bug reports with a similar issue.
All of them have been closed/marked as resolved by mods, basically saying it’s intended.
I’ve had this issue for some time now and I think the issue is more with 1x1/small Trees but also with 2x2/big/mega Trees.
YES the drop rates make sense. You have more Leaves in big Trees so “nerfing” the drop rates makes sense to balance the amount of saplings pre tree.
BUT 1x1 Trees have the same amount of leaves as other trees, therefor the “nerf” doesn’t make sense and just causes frustration especially with more casual players that don’t know about Enchantments like Fortune.
In my mind every tree should guaranty enough saplings to replant it.
Adding emphasis to sustainability without causing frustration.
Possible Solutions:
1. Change the drop rate of Jungle Saplings. Leaves drop changed from 2.5% to 5% to be more consistent with other types.
2. Change Jungle Trees. Change the amount of Leaves in Jungle Trees to balance Saplings drop rates.
3. All of the above. Essentially creating a small rework of the Jungle Tree:
Drop rates would be consistent at 5% for all leave types.
Jungle Trees would get a new look - the 1x1 tree just looks like a long Oak Tree.
Mega Jungle Trees would have a thinner crown to closely resemble reallife Jungle Trees.
