Description:Â
Sword Enchantments that deal damage aren't working properly
Smite doesn't increase the damage done to undead mobs as much as it used toÂ
Sharpness is dealing VERY little extra damage
Â
Ways to reproduce:
1) Grab an unenchanted sword, a sword enchanted with Sharpness V and an sword enchanted with Smite V (Diamond or Netherite)
2) Place a mob down (preferably a Zombie, but make sure it doesn't take any damage due to sunlight/enviroment)
3) Kill it and repeat the process with different swords
Note: A regular unenchanted Diamond sword takes 3 standard hits to kill a Zombie, a sharpness V Diamond Sword takes 2 standard hits to kill a ZombieÂ
(Standard = Fully "charged", no critical/sweeping/knockback attacks)
Â
Expected Results:
1) Zombie dies in 1 (critical) shot with the Smite V sword
2) The sword encahnted with Shapness generally deals more damage
3) The "Attack Damage" Tooltip in the Shapness Sword changes
Â
Observed Results:
1) The Zombie doesn't die in 1 critical hit with the Smite V Diamond Sword
2) Shapness V Diamond sword doesn't deal that much damage (See Note above)
3) The "Attack Damage" Tooltip doesn't change

Please record a video of this happening where the F3 debug menu is visible and attach it to this report.
After testing I realised that it is working as intended, I didn't calculate the damage correctly on my part
I hope this didn't cauise much of an incovenience !Â
Maybe MC-272004 describes some of the issues you may be experiencing.
Cannot reproduce, this was fixed in the most recent snapshots. The attack damage tooltip sharpness issue is being tracked elsewhere.
