Whenever I launch a version of Minecraft that has not been modded or changed in any way (just the regular version), I will expierence lag spikes where the game freezes for a second or two and then unfreezes just to do it all over again. I have tried to adjust settings such as render distance and framerates, but nothing seems to work. I typically use optfine and do not expierence any issues but with regular launchers that Minecraft provides players with, my macbook just cannot seem to handle it. I have plenty of memory and cpu in my computer and uninstalling and reinstalling the launcher just doesnt seem to be doing anything at all. If anyone has any kind of suggestion I would be willing to try anything at this point.

As you are using an Apple Silicon based system, you may also want to check out MCL-24168.
I'm experiencing lags on Macbook M3 Max, MacOS Sonoma 14.4.1
After the Minecraft update the gameplay started lagging — it freezes for a second or so every 4-5 seconds.
I've updated Java as it was described in the original issue (it is for Windows 11 btw, and I consider this issue as an irrelevant), but it didn't help, the game keeps lagging.
Can't find the solution. Please help.
