item entities get instantly deleted when thrown against the side of a lava cauldron as if they would have been thrown into the cauldron or a lava source.
this is in contrast to 1.21 where items would just slide off the side as with any other full block

I believe this issue is a duplicate of MC-275298, which includes (lava) cauldrons as one of the detection box-using blocks that are affected.
