The Bug

When The Creaking is hit by other mobs it doesn't display particles

The parts in the animation and sound have been fixed in 1.21.2 Pre-Release 1.

Reproduce

Get a naturally spawned creaking
Spawn a Warden
Have the Warden agro on the Creaking

Expected Result

Particles would be shown

Observed Result

No Particles were shown
