Hello! So, you all know how you said you DIDN'T want updates to mess with player's builds? Well, it appears that isn't true. I've got a world, a world from release 1.8, the bountiful update, that's been updated as the updates have rolled out, and sadly I've now got at least two builds that have been mess with as a result of updates, (technically three, but I TNT'd the last one, it was a lost cause). Anyways, can you please fix not only this issue, but my world as well? I'm going to attempt to include both the world file as well as several pictures as evidence. Please, somebody, can you fix this poor old world and get it back to me, in tact? Rockatoa, Brickticks out!
P.S. Good job on the horse armor now having it's enchantment glint.
You guys will have to tell me where I can just email the world file, as onedrive won't accept it.

Which version transitions caused which issues? In order to use the latest world upgrading features, you would have had to jump from 1.8 to 1.21.1, or at least a version past the Caves and Cliffs update. Issues from upgrading to previous versions can't be fixed retroactively
Ooohh Kaayyy.... Yes, tis vanilla, I've never used a mod in my life. Second, started happening around, oh, I'd say 1.17-1.18, I don't usually leave my base, but when I do, I usually don't go far. But still, had one issue I was able to fix involving a massive mesa appearing in the ocean within view of my house, but I was able to fix that. However, these damages are so extreme I doubt I should be able to fix them on my own. I will say this, most of the affected chunks were rendered in for the first time between 1.14-1.16, but they weren't like this when they did....
Although, that first image was from a build I did in 1.9, but hadn't gone back to it since at least 1.10, until yesterday, when I did go back, fixing some issues with my map items losing their banner markers, and when I go there, it would seem everything that was affected had some sort of regeneration of the chunks below sea level. Though, that doesn't explain the giant cut off mountains of savanna, no, no it does not. Nor does that explain why so many of my dark oak forests have suddenly become savannas but yet kept their dark oak trees...
Am also pretty sure that, somewhere, I say a extreme hills biome regenerate some chunks, and while the terrain had not physically changed, a certain area at the top of those extreme hills had become a mushroom island, with some mycelium blocks now visible under the grass on top of that extreme hill. I could tell by the fact that giant mushrooms had appeared where they should not, atop an extreme hill, and the thin layer of grass covering what I assume to be mycelium was way to green for an extreme hills biome.
Anyways, that should be some more information. Let me know what you think... Like I said, started noticing this around the 1.17-1.18 era, but am not sure which one it was specifically, but it was definitely one of those two.
Rockatoa, Brickticks out! Again, where should I send this world, as Onedrive isn't working for this task, (given that the world is over 4GB, I can't say I don't see why).
If you can, please make sure your copy of the world is a backup free of any upgrading issues. That way, we can observe the transition from a working world to a broken one during the upgrade process. As for where to link it, Google Drive might work?
Oh, somebody actually answered where I could send the world file. Well then, here you go.

This is from September of last year, so it doesn't have all the damages that occurred when I went around trying to remark my villages, at least, it shouldn't. I had to make a copy of the backup just today to use MCASelector to check to make sure this was the correct version. Anyways, enjoy! And good luck fixing it. Rockatoa, Brickticks out!
Hello again. Just wanted to say thank you for reopening this bug. Also, I may have an idea on the culprit..... It's simple, the version this world was created in was release 1.8, which, to my knowledge, had a piece of code that allowed Ocean Monuments to generate in previously generated chunks if one had spent less than I think it was five minutes in that area. just thought I'd suggest this as a possible culprit. I should say that, once the bug is fixed, I should be able to retroactively use MCA Selector to restore the affected chunks to their prior state from before this little bug messed them up. However, with the bug still present, doing this at this time would be futile,as the bug would just muss them up again and again and again every time they were put back. Oh well, let me know what you can do! Rockatoa, Brickticks out!
This report is far too broad, and describes too many problems to be able to reasonable confirm and reproduce it consistently. There is no reliable version path to follow to get the same world corruption to occur here. Unfortunately, there is nothing we can personally do here to restore your corrupted world, we are unable to fix it.
cause I am not sure if this is truly vanilla/non-modified can you open f3 screen and take a screenshot?
