In typical game-play, taking falls have distinct sounds based on the height you fall from. "minecraft:entity.player.small_fall" playing when you fall from 4-7 blocks, and "minecraft:entity.player.big_fall" playing when you fall from 8+ blocks. Additionally, falling on a block produces a sound similar it's step sound. Starting with Pre-Release 3 for version 1.21.4, these sounds no longer play.
It is very unnoticeable at first, but once it's noticed it gets very irritating.

minecraft:entity.player.small_fall is not covered under MC-278552, is it? We'll probably have to wait until the next snapshot to see if both sounds have returned.
