I was mining with torches in my off-hand, and swapped my main hand to food so I could eat. When holding down right-click, I started attempting to break the block with the porkchop instead of eating it/placing down a torch. When not targeting a block, the game still prioritized placing torches instead of eating, even when it was unable to do so.
