Brief
The “minecraft.used:minecraft.name_tag” objective never increases, not even when using a name tag item in its intended way. This issue affects creative as well as survival.
Steps to Reproduce
Make a new world with Cheats enabled
Run
/scoreboard objectives add t minecraft.used:minecraft.name_tag
Run
/scoreboard objectives setdisplay sidebar t
Get an anvil, a name tag, and a spawn egg for any nameable entity (I used a pig for testing)
Rename your name tag in the anvil
(Optional) Go into survival
Spawn and then rename the pig
What should have happened?
The objective t
(shown on the sidebar) should have increased to 1 as we have used a name tag once.
What actually happens?
It did not and no data appears.
Neither do statistics for the name tag now that I come to think about it.
Environment
Shouldn't really matter, but Adoptium Java 21.0.3 w/ 4GB memory on a Ryzen 5 5600X
