The issue has to do that if the gap between a bamboo stick is small enough, the player could walk through that gap while crouching. However, if the bamboo is taller than the block you are standing on from the video posted, the game will still think you can walk through and let you fall while crouching.
To reproduce:
Get a block (does not have to be deepslate)
Get some dirt and place a few bamboo.
Place a bamboo at least 2 blocks high
Try to lean on each side of the bamboo
Check the coordinates of each position of the bamboo.
Keep doing this until the x or z coordinate of that side ends between 0.301 to 0.356 or 0.699 to 0.644 (1.32 and -2.672 work,)
Place a block next to the side that I said about in step 6
Then crouch and try to move into that small gap (note you might need a running start before crouching if you are close to 0.356 or 0.644 bound I tested.
Expected Results:The game stops you from falling like normal
Observed results:The game lets you fall down a block even while crouching.
