Text, textures of objects, blocks, etc glitch or are missing. When switching to the Default Resource pack without the original textures, the problem goes away. The broken texture pack is one that comes with minecraft – it was not downloaded off the internet.
Edit: Switching resource packs does not fix the problem. The textures are temporarily repaired before breaking again.

Updated the graphics, still experiencing broken textures and screen glitches (like flashes of black lines across the screen) as well as the broken text
