After playing a little while i noticed that the “n” in chicken was partially missing in the list of sounds in the bottom right corner. I restarted the game and it was fine initially, but again after a bit it recurred following an odd flash across the screen. I then noticed that there were a series of small black objects peppered across the game pause menu, specifically at the top of each lowercase n. I further observed that on all UI elements with text, the lowercase n exhibited the same visual glitch.
Additionally, it does not only impact text, but visual glitches appearing as small rectangles of color appear across any ui window. Also mob textures flash in a single color - green,black when taking damage.

It’s stills affects even launching the game, on linux distros like Arch, Ubuntu or Arch/Debian based distros.
A way of “solution” to this is using F3 + T, but its not a fix at all because in a random amount of time, i think is between 5min up to 30min it’s back.
What is the meaning of ‘Awaiting Response’ ? It means that we have to wait until Mojang fix it ? Because, this bug is very big. I have it on two different computers and one of it has also big screen freeze.
The reporter was asked to dump the texture atlases and attach the debug content, along with gpu specs. Refer to Fantastime’s comment. Until then the report will stay resolved as Awaiting Response.

I made the F3+S debug command. Here are the folder generated and two screenshots (one illustrated the bug and the other show the F3 menu directly after the bug screenshot). In this case, the bug appears quickly (less than 1 minutes after opening inventory and chest). It looks that the bug appears only after interaction with an inventory. Some objects also appears and disappear fast (flickering) and some quick straight green line randomly appears and disappears while waiting in an inventory. The glitch texture here is on the tooltips box but other times, it is directly on characters (for exemple, it can appear on the letter “a” and all the “a” of the game has the same gltichy texture).
For the GPU, I use here a Intel(R) UHD Graphics with the driver version : 30.0.100.9864 (it is the best driver for the computer).
A new bug appears.
I seem to be having an exaggerated version of this bug. For me the visual glitches especially with text but also with other things appear immediately upon opening the game. The worst issue though is that most of the time when I load up the game it freezes on the last few seconds of the loading in animation. When this happens the game still seems to be running as you can hear the sounds of interacting with the game. The rare times this doesn’t happen and it actually opens without freezing, it just ends up freezing like this later (usually 5-15 minutes of normal gameplay) and the only fix is to alt+f4. The freezing also doesn’t seem to be on some kind of timer but rather whenever you do certain things, as I have been able to afk a mob farm for multiple hours without it freezing. The things that seem to make it freeze the most are opening/closing chests, loading in new chunks, and throwing out items.
I would also like to mention a something as I don’t think anyone else has already, The bug is only in the latest version (1.21.5) and switching to an older version doesn’t have any bugs

I’m having the same problem on 1.21.5 - mostly affects text, some other textures like the azure bluet, beacon beams and bedrock, mobs can be completely green or black when damaged. The glitched textures change over time - text begins missing certain elements, then gains black pixels then coloured pixels. Sometimes items inside inventories flash, sometimes triangular sections of the whole screen. Interacting with inventories appears to speed up the corruption of textures. F3+T resets the glitched textures temporarily. As others have reported this is with Intel integrated graphics - my drivers are up to date.

I opened the same world, make similar movement and interactions (travel in the nether, open chest and inventory….) but nothing was strange. When I go back to a computer with an Intel Iris Graphics, the text glitched after few minutes with some flickering of items and triangles lines.
Yes, this has been an issue for soo long for me. I never bothered checking to see if others ever had this occur. It has made the game basically unplayable for me. (for me it also happened to 1.21.4 but not as frequent as 1.21.5)

Happens with me too- version 1.21.5. One thing I’ve noticed is it tends to happen right after the game saves, though it might just be a coincidence. A also notice strange visual glitches suddenly appearing out of thin air for a fraction of a second. Also, the text always gets corrupted, but once the block textures got corrupted too. It seems to be random, but I think the longer you play, the more corrupted the textures become. My GPU is Intel UHD Graphics.

This glitch also seems to cause game freezes. What I’ve noticed is that opening a double wide chest makes everything much worse, much more than any other GUI in the game.
It also keeps happening for me. When I started to open the game, its normal but the more I play, the more it happens. First the letters are corrupted then some parts to be missed, then the minecarts I used for villagers also starts to glitched, the the villager noses, then the chickens as well. I also saw times where my screen corrupted in a very small amount of time. It is so annyoing for things to happen like this. After those, my screen freezes although I can still here the music then I had to close Minecraft and reopen again. I hope Minecraft mods will fix this as soon as possible and will be appreciated. (Im using 1.21.5).
The bug is worse than before. My game freezed 4 times in a raw when I start my world. I cannot play anymore on my world. I’m actually close to a spyder spawner but there is not a lot of entities. I have always the texture glitchs also.

New information : my game freeze also in 1.21.4. It never happened before the switch to 1.21.5. Did the 1.12.5 update change anything in the launcher and minecraft in general?
I think we deserve a statement from Mojang. The bug is still in the game and there are no signs of it being fixed. Almost 60 votes on such a "little" used platform means that a lot of people have this bug. People are also writing about this bug on official Minecraft social media. If any of the developers see this, please explain this and at least tell us if this bug is being worked on and will be fixed soon. Thanks in advance ❤️

@Sir Axolotus It looks that your bug seems a little bit different than our. Because you have something like an overlay/filter on the texture (white or red here) but it not affect the texture of the blocks in your World.
In our case, when the texture glitch on a block (grass in these screenshots), the texture have the same bug on the world block. Here the top of the grass block is transparent (in my hotbar) and it make transparent all the top of grass block (natural xRay ?!!). I don’t know if it is the same bug or not but I wanted to notice you this little difference.

Until this is fixed I recommend playing with music toasts turned off. Because this bug is somehow triggered faster by opening the gui.

I also have Intel graphics, and I’ve been having similar issues in 1.21.5 with the corrupted text and the screen freezing that some people have commented about. I’m playing with Fabric mods and initially assumed it must have had something to do with that, but it doesn’t seem like it based on this report. I never had these issues in previous versions but immediately started having problems when I first tried playing in 1.21.5.
Parts of letters will disappear as I play, and sometimes they will be replaced by a multicolor pixel blob. I don’t think I have noticed any problems with block, mob, or world textures, however.
When the screen freezes, I know that the game is still otherwise running because I can hear the right sounds and interact with the game with my cursor and my keyboard. It can happen at pretty much any time, but it is most likely to occur when joining a world/server on the “Loading terrain” screen or when opening a menu (such as the inventory or escape menu). The screen never unfreezes.
I haven’t personally figured out a way to fix these problems other than just closing the game and starting it up again, but the issues always come back in a few minutes if not immediately.
Having similar issues, but they constantantly change. Sometimes it's some textures and text get purple/green glitchy but today a lot of blocks became all the same color. This is reflected in the inventory and in the world. I was tolerant of minor texture glitches where I could still make out the block… but this is unplayable now.

I have some interesting information about this bug. On the latest pre-release the bug seems milder FOR ME. After 15 minutes of playing, the only thing that happened was that items were not displayed in my hand and the enchantment glint was not displayed either. Zero buggy textures, texts and mobs. I will play more to see if it will continue to be like this. It's strange because usually after a minute the textures would break. I hope that in the full release I won't have any problems.. But I played longer to be sure that it's better!
Okay, the game is still too broken to play because the enchant glint is very broken, the player's inventory and hotbar can sometimes disappear completely, text can still get broken but much less often but the textures are no longer broken
For me on the first pre-release the text begins glitching as normal, but then all of a sudden all of the items in my inventory turn the color I am looking at and so does the text. Slowly items start losing their texture (only the inventory) and eventually they even disappear. It’s technically better, but I think it’s the same issue

I'm going to share some information that I've noticed about this bug in the newest pre-release, if something different for you or you have some information, please share it with us!
Again, the bug seems to be weaker than last time, which makes me assume that work is currently underway to fix this bug. In the previous pre-release, glitchy text and textures were gone. However, another problem appeared, which was disappearing and changing colors of enchant glint.
In the current pre-release, this problem seems to have been fixed. However, there are still a few things that currently exist.
Still existing glitches:
Items in the GUI may completely disappear visually (text is visible, but the item is not displayed. The item is however correctly displayed in the player's hand.
Items in the player's GUI may flash momentarily if the player interacts with the GUI blocks (mainly chests and barrels).
Sometimes there may be some lines/glitches on the screen. This is rare and hard to notice.
Potentially new glitches:
When underwater there is a chance that strange rectangular dots may appear. Additionally the seagrass animation may be broken for a short moment.

Another way to find a solution is send the report to intel, because the bug only occurs in devices with intel graphics, they already upload a new versión of graphics controller on march 28, but the update doesn’t work.
Or simply wait for the next drop (1.21.6) because I think minecraft cannot change it in 1.21.5

On the latest pre-release I cannot even load my world. It gets stuck on loading terrain.
Items disappearing can be fixed by pressing F11 (windowed mode). For textures turning black / enchantment glints disappearing you cannot do anything to fix them. To fix the text temporarily pressing F3+T (reload texture pack) works.
Someone has the problem with a world created at 1.21.5, because I think everyone see this bugs on older version worlds, maybe the compatibility with older versions make this glitches. For example my world of 1.21.4 when I update to 1.21.5 i saw the glitches, but I move to new chunks from 1.21.5 and works good, no bugs, no text glitch, but when I come home (1.21.4 chunks) after a few minutes the bug start again.
Does anyone know how to share these bugs with the latest snapshots? for a 1.21.6 without this type of glitches
In my case, during one of the first tests I made, I created a new wolrd directly in 1.21.5 and the texture glitch on text happened. So I'm not very sure about the fact that only older world converted in 1.21.5 will glitch. For me, it's also the case for exclusive 1.21.5 worlds.
In the case of the chunks, maybe the chunks already generated previously has more things to load (chest, entities…) but not for new generated chunks which will have less things to load. In my experiences, glitchs happens faster close to my base but less often when I'm far.

It's strange that they haven't found a solution to this problem, I know there's no exact way to replicate it on other computers but I swore they were going to fix it in Minecraft 1.21.6, since some people can't play the version because of this and I've seen it with some friends. :(

Unfortunately, I don't think this will be fixed until the next graphics driver. It seems to be an Intel Core bug, not a Minecraft bug. We should report this issue to Intel Core to get more information and have a better chance of fixing it in the next release. But I still hope Mojang will do something about it as well to make the game playable for players using Intel Core graphics.
Although, if I'm not mistaken, this bug was not present in version 1.21.4, regardless of the graphics driver version. Maybe newer versions of Intel graphics drivers will help eliminate this bug, but it's mainly Mojang who has to do something about it. I hope it will be fixed by the end of this year.
It also happened to me many times. For example, an instance in my survival world was that not only did the font turn pink, but also some blocks/items, as well as my skin in the inventory. Some numbers also looked weird/cutoff, and the red overlay for attacking an entity turned completely black (except for the armor on my skin). I suspect that these bugs may be shader-related, as similar effects happen when you modify the vanilla shaders
hey guys was able to fix! Girlfriend was having the same issue. windows update showed graphics driver was up to date… but issue persisted. Went into the Intel Graphics Command Center - then support, online resources, download Graphics driver. It’ll take you to the intel website click ‘get started’. download and install all. click thru next a couple times, and do a fresh install of your drivers. itll get rid of the old drivers and install the new one(s) directly from Intel. Fixed for us! Good Luck yall.

I think the newest drop has only made things worse… The text glitches are now happening even faster than before, and there’s new texture glitches that happen all the time and are impossible to fix unless you restart the launcher, such as Items and entities' textures darkening and even turning red after a while, or all GUI’s disappearing, or even your hand completely disappearing. Honestly don’t think I’m going to play this new drop unless they fix this, this new version is practically unplayable to me.

For me it’s seems to be kinda fixed? After playing a while the game is working well. I haven’t seen any glitches and the only strange thing was a little bit glitchy chain armor on zombie villager, but it may be other bug. I’m playing on the latest graphic driver.

Noticed this issue a few months back, didn’t think much of it cause it was just letters not rendering properly like a corrupted looking s or h at first, but now after the 1.21.6 there’s a whole array of rendering issues: 1) hotbar, inventory and armor not rendering (invisible but still use-able). 2) All items, crafting menu, esc (settings) menu, and even the main menu changing color to a random neon color. 3) Hotbar ui, crosshair and all setting options being invisible so you can’t even quit the game (forcing me to restart my pc). All of these issues are so random and happen anywhere from 1 min into joining the realm to 10 mins in.
I’m probably missing some other things but these are the most prevalent that I’ve experienced. (As the bug report says this impacts mostly intel integrated graphics which is my case as well).
I submitted the report to Intel, and I hope this time it can finally be resolved.

This issue gets worse for me with every update it seems- and it seems to progress as I open menus like chests and inventory. It starts as a text glitch, then the black text and blocks like in some of the images, and then my HUD disappears altogether including my pause menu, and I have to restart my game once that happens. I hope this gets figured out soon! I’m building a storage room rn and it’s making me have to close the game a lot, lol. Such an odd issue.
The black text and disappearing HUD/pause menu disappearing is also a new development with 1.21.6. In 1.21.5, it was only that text would get more and more glitched, as well as pixels in some items such as shulker boxes getting corrupted.

I had been facing the same problems but I was able to fix it by downloading a resources pack that had separate font of text. I ran my game and it has been running flawlessly!!

Ok, so I’ve updated to 1.21.7 and I got the pack that Divit sent… The items turning all one color has stopped. The text gets a tiny bit glitched, but it’s not very noticable. Either it’s the new version or the pack. The game is actually playable now, at least from the tiny amounts of testing I have done

Ok so the only thing the resource pack does (after some extensive testing) is it makes the text readable even when it gets glitched due to the letters being HD. My UI still disappears and items in my inventory still become invisible. Has anyone made a mod to fix this yet or has Mojang looked into it at all?
Been hapenning for a month now and the items becoming invisible literally makes the game unplayable for me. How am I supposed to build if I don’t know what or where the items are in my inventory, or any chest.
The sodium mod seems to make the glitches occur less often
The disappearing gui can be fixed by tapping F11 twice. Someone said it here, I tried and it worked.

Well I’ll not be able to play until I get another PC, I doubt that Minecraft manages to solve it if we carry 3 versions with the same problem

…this line shows up while the game starts. perhaps the visual bugs could be related to root.gamerenderer, but who knows.
Finally our problem is solved, in the first release candidate of minecraft 1.21.8 they have just solved the graphic glitches in some Intel integrated graphics. Our fight is over!

I am still having issues with text and missing items occasionally. Running a 10th gen i7. Vanilla 1.21.8
I think this is still broken, somehow on 1.21.8.. Some textures are flashy and broken sometimes, but only for a while
E.g. lava textures are broken sometimes
But it could be also texture pack related, because I only noticed this glitches on servers with custom texture packs and I can’t see anything broken on singleplayer
I have also noticed graphical issues when playing on servers with texture packs on
But only on servers with texture packs? If so we need to make a bug report
I’m not playing on a server and I’m not using any texture packs. My text will all flash one color and items in my inventory disappear. I have to reset my game when this happens. It seems like the only thing they fixed was making it less common
