Horses on java above
Horses on bedrock below
see the difference? It's horrible on bedrock, imagine if it was the other way around, imagine if horses were broken on java like they are on bedrock now, they would not stand for it, it would get fixed immediately.
This needs to be reopened, Horses are useless after this update. I think we can all agree, horses were better before the update, which is just sad because this update was supposed to make them better. Mojang would be irresponsible to ignore this issue, or just downright lazy. I know Mojang loves making bedrock just like java, so maybe do it for “parity” sakes like all the other unneeded changes that happen all the time. If it's somehow impossible to fix horses and have them be able to swim, then I say revert the change, because if you can't add something without breaking everything, don’t add it at all.
Yes, this is a big problem, it’s like all the horses, donkeys and mules have really bad input delay. I believe this happened because they used the skeleton horse code to make the horses able to swim or something, because skeleton horses have always been like that. But now normal horses are too.
It gives you the effects, but I think the absorption is not working correctly, like it's supposed to give you absorption hearts for 5 seconds, but they don't seem to absorb anything. The mace clip I am certain that he was double clicking, so I believe the mace hit me twice, at like the same time. I told him to change his mouses debounce time, to fix the double clicking, and after that he couldn’t bypass my totem anymore. When I'm on java edition, you can spam totems to stay alive until you run out of them, but that's not possible on bedrock.
It’s interesting to note that if you use System Settings > Keyboard > Keyboard Shortcuts > Function Keys > Use function keys as standard function keys, the F3+F5 combo works as intended. It’s only the combo fn+F3+F5 that doesn’t seem to work. As previously noted, fn+F3+F4 and F3+F4 work as intended.
So glad to be able to be able to play minecraft without having the patience of a saint
should I go into options.txt and set it back on?
I might of done that, is that the cause?
I play Minecraft Bedrock edition, just updated it to 1.21.90 and am getting this same issue
Looks like this issue has been finally fixed in the latest preview as the changelog says! Next stable release should bring the fix to everyone! “Only” took a year, but at least they fixed it. https://feedback.minecraft.net/hc/en-us/articles/18619357250701-Minecraft-Beta-Preview-1-20-30-22
@darknavi That's what I thought at first as well, but after removing all content (I uninstalled BDS completely and reinstalled without changing anything so it creates a brand new fresh world) the issue still remained tho the interval between the crashes seemed to be a bit longer. The issue is definitely not caused by content, but it may be aggravated by them. The mystery is why this doesn't seem to happen to every single person.
can anyone confirm if this happens in 1.19.81?
@Matthew Dietrich EXACTLY! As a temporary solution, i suggest moving your BDS server to realm. It has 10 player limitation, but at least no crashes that i'm aware of.
Come on Mojang! This has been happening for 8 MONTHS NOW! That is ALMOST A YEAR and still not fixed. My server crashes every 1-2 hours with 6-10 players online... If this is not fixed all the work I put into my server is lost.
And moderators: can't you do something? like bumping this issue up? I haven't seen a single comment from a dev for a long time since this issue was open.
Hi man, this same issue happened to me.
Download the latest Java JDK file: https://www.oracle.com/java/technologies/downloads/
Also make sure your Java is up to date. This should help.

Also related to this bug, boats are completely broken, in water, they are extremely jittery, and slow, as well as hard to turn. On ice they just don't work anymore like they used to, like not at all, almost impossible to turn, and extremely laggy and slow. elytra is significantly faster than ice boats now.
