Update has broken gameplay

Today when i started Minecraft, there was an update that happened. After the update, i restarted my computer to make sure everything was cleared and updated. When i opened my survival world, all the colors were of a “pastel” palette and it looks horrible. I’m guessing the shading has something to do with it. But i do NOT like it!

Second, I attempted to play a new flat world, and after i was created and i spawned, there were no villages. I ran in all directions at different I had the coordinates “on”, so i know i don't backtrack where i had already been.

What the heck is going???

Hi! I'll try to help you. When you transfer your world from one version to another, you are already at risk, as minecraft warns you that mistakes are possible. If you look at your second case, then most likely this is due to the fact that the generation of buildings was disabled in the settings when creating the world, this happens. And answer me the question, have you played vanilla minecraft?

Please upload a screenshot of the graphical issue with the debug screen (F3) enabled.

And for the record, you can always open to LAN with commands enabled and run /locate structure #minecraft:village to find the current village.
