As armor stands are living entities derived the assumption is that DeathLootTable would exist. But as it’s more of a container, given that it holds items and is broken rather than killed, LootTable would be assumed. Neither is true, making it far more complicated to add custom behavior without trampling over other armor stand/datapacks.

Can confirm. This has been longstanding behavior and changing it may constitute a feature request, but if so it’s a good one, there really isn’t an advantage hardcoding it like this.
