I'm sure this is just for optimization reasons, but in 1.14.4, the poof and dust particles from explosions had a far higher particle count, and slower velocity. Since MC-165991 removed those particles and were restored in 25w33a, the particle count appears fewer and the velocity is faster. The particles also cover much less of the explosion area and appear less dense. The videos attached were recorded in 1.14.4 and 25w33a respectively.
Steps to reproduce the issue
Load into a world in 25w33a
Explode TNT or a creeper
Notice the particle count and speed
Expected Result:
Explosions would produce a large amount of particles that fly out slowly, and cover the ray casted area
Actual result
Explosions produce a smaller particle count and the particles fly out much faster, not covering the ray casted area.
Environment
Java 21
Windows 11
