A copper golem between two rows of double chests (5 above, 5 below) gives up and forgets before it has visited all ten of them. In the screenshot, the golem is holding an item that belongs in chest #7. It made 42 attempts before finally finding the correct chest. It seems to give up consistently after visiting chest #4 and sometimes #2.

(in 25w36a) I am unable to reproduce this. the copper golem checks 10 chests consistently. can you try to make the same same structure elsewhere and/or in different orientations? it could be a locationality or directionality issue.
