As you can see with this… the block falls fine and renders correctly
/summon minecraft:falling_block ~ ~50 ~ {BlockState:{Name:"chest"}}
Summons a falling chest block 50 blocks above you but it is invisible until it collides with the ground
This has been a broken system for quite some time and would love to see this fixed for some of us map makers and tinkerers

Ryzen 7 1800x
Nvidia RTX 2080 8gb
32GB Ram
Minecraft Java 25w36b and earlier versions
