Please Add a Fog Toggle or Slider – Eye-Strain and Visibility Issue

I’ve tried for a long time to get used to this, but I really need the Mojang team to hear it.

The new fog and distance-blur effect in version 1.21.6 make Minecraft extremely uncomfortable to play. My eyes burn and I sometimes get headaches after only a short time, especially while flying. The world now looks gray and washed out, almost like swimming through cloudy water, and there’s no option to disable or adjust it.

I’ve tested every setting I can find, but nothing helps. This isn’t just a personal style preference it’s becoming a real accessibility issue. Many players are sensitive to strong haze, contrast, or visual blur effects, and this one makes it hard to play for extended sessions.

I first posted about this on June 22, 2025 at 19:53, and that feedback post reached 20 upvotes and had multiple comments from other players describing the same problem. There have also been threads about it on community forums and discussions on http://feedback.minecraft.net , yet so far there’s been no visible progress or acknowledgment. I haven’t seen any option added or change made since then, even though many of us hoped one would come.

Minecraft has always been about creativity, freedom, and player choice. Forcing a visual effect that causes discomfort goes against that spirit.

Please add a simple toggle or slider in the Video Settings menu to control or disable the new fog effect. It wouldn’t change anyone else’s default experience it would just let those of us affected by it enjoy the game again without pain or strain.
