The Bug:
The Nautilus mob, including its baby version and zombie variant, only has one singular animation in Java.
In Bedrock, that singular animation is just its idle. Bedrock Nautiluses also have a unique moving animation, and even a dash animation that doesn’t seem to work or be properly implemented.
Java lacks both of these. Whether or not the dash animation is supposed to exist is up to the devs, but the movement one CAN be seen ingame, and thus it especially is a parity issue.
The same is true for the baby nautilus;
As well as the Zombie Nautilus.
Again, all Java has is the singular “idle,” the first animation in each set.
What I expected:
I expected mob animations to be consistent across versions, as Mojang aims for parity.
This happens from time to time. Previously it happened with Breezes and was fixed via MC-269895 , and a while ago happened with Allays via MC-251518 which has yet to be fully fixed, so I expect the Nautilus is just another case of this.
