The End gateway is normally generated after defeating the Ender Dragon.
However, if you traverse the End Gateway with a pearl, you will likely fall into the void in a 7 in 8 chance since most of the sides that you throw the pearl into will drop you at the edge of a floating island. It is a way too high change and made me lose all my gear. Seed: 2581664800185900676
Coordinates to Test:
End Portal coordinates: 65, 41, -2000
End Gateway Coordinates that is generated on the main Island: -90, 75, 30
Throw a pearl while not flying and check that your character will likely fall into the void, with a low chance of survival (just from one of the sides)
Attaching Outer Island’s End Gateway screenshots on Creative Mode.
What it is expected: The End Gateway that is generated in the Outer Islands area should be generated aligned with the middle of a small floating island.
Environment
Minecraft Java 1.21.11.

World Was generated back in 1.21.0, but the same issue also reproduced on a freshly generated 1.21.11 game.

Hey Clamlol. But here the situation is different. If you are standing still on the MAIN ISLAND and throw an ender pearl, you will spawn on a position that is NOT save and you will land in the void. It is a totally different situation and it happens on a freshly generated End Gateway.
While I agree it is a Feature Request to have the Outer Islands End Gateway better positioned, I still believe it is a bug if you are standing still, throw an Ender Pearl from the main island and it is spawned 1 block away at the other side effectively killing you and making you lose all the progress.
I don’t believe it is the same bug as the one described previously by you or you did not pay attention to the details I have provided.
Imagine the frustration that is when you happily defeated the Ender Dragon and wanna explore the End, throws a Ender Pearl through the gateway to be contemplated with a free fall into the abyss because the End Gateway is not obeying your rule of “should have spawned in a block” and having the End Gateway better positioned is also a “Feature Request”…
I couldn’t reproduce the issue where it drops you in the void while you’re standing still, so I assumed you were moving when you did it. Could you upload a video recording of the issue with the debug overlay (F3) enabled and showing the game version and system specs?
You can record your screen using:
On Windows, the built-in Snipping Tool app (shift+win+S)
On macOS, the the built-in Screenshot app (shift+cmd+5)
Third-party software such as OBS
It is recommended that you trim, convert and/or reduce the quality of your recording so that it is under 10MB, as this will make the upload much quicker.
The gateway will always put you in the middle of a block (except in the case of MC-155800, which may no longer exist.) It will not necessarily put the player in a safe location, but if the player is standing still when they teleport they are guaranteed to survive unless that bug occurs. To ask for the gateway to choose a “better” location is a feature request, so I will resolve this as Invalid. You can post this feedback to the Feedback site or Feedback Discord instead, but most likely someone has already made a post regarding this issue, so search for existing posts and upvote them if they exist, and only if no substantially similar post exists should you make your own.
