I was trying to return to the end island via an end gateway. When I pearled through the gate, the other side loaded in, and I then proceeded to fall into the void with no blocks anywhere near me to land on. there was a bridge leading to the end gateway, but I spawned below that.

Is this still an issue in the latest version/snapshot? If so, please provide more information on how to reproduce.
MC-305649 recently reported by me was merged here but it is a complete different situation: While standing still and throwing an Ender Pearl into the freshly generated End Gateway at the main island, there is a high chance you are going to be teleported 1 block away from the small island below the Outer Island End Gateway, making you fall into the void.
I think these are 2 different errors and my ticket got merged/resolved out of a careless intervention since they report different situations.
