EDIT : Still happening in 1.14 Pre Releases 1 and 2 /!\
Hi !
I was playing a survival game using the 19w14b snapshot and when I killed the EnderDragon in the End I also decided to cross the End Gateway which spawned allowing me to explore the End islands to found End cities ; I also launched an enderpearl sending me to the other side and I have also been spawning on an island but at the edge of the void, and automatically pushed one bloc away from where I was without any possible resistance to stop this, sending me to the void where I also died.
I also checked if this was exceptional and I can confirm that this is recurrent. I tryed it with new worlds where the same thing happened but I didn't die other times cause there were blocks where I have been pushed this new times.
It looks like this is happening when crossing an End Gateway for the first time, after what it doesn't happend anymore.
Thanks for reading.

Can confirm this, I made a video showing the problem: https://youtu.be/-m0EGIwHzQU
I tried different designs to prevent falling down the platform, but nothing really worked well.
Can confirm this still occurs in 1.14 Pre-Release 3.
This happens because the game places you slightly too low down (inside the block) when it teleports you. For some reason this only seems to happen to the gateways in the end dimension that the game automatically generates as I can't reproduce it using the setblock command (/setblock 0 75 0 minecraft:end_gateway{ExitPortal:{X:5,Y:75,Z:0}}, for example), even when setting the exit location to somewhere in unloaded chunks.
@unknown Perhaps change the the summary (title) and description to mention that it places you inside the block, causing you to get pushed out? Just a suggestion.
Still an issue in 1.14 Pre-Release 5. It's also very easy to reproduce. From my testing on a random seed 19 out of the 20 generated gateways near 0 0 gets you stuck in the floor slightly upon teleporting through it, of which 6 of would most likely kill you, as going through them gets you get stuck in the floor and slowly you get pushed out into the void.
Please confirm (and fix).
In the past, folks would just update existing ones if it's the same problem. Duplicate tickets are a real problem, so usually mods will tell people to use the search feature rather than proliferate tickets.
"REOPENED
This issue was once resolved, but the resolution was deemed incorrect. From here issues are either marked assigned or resolved."
Reopened tickets are common here. Also, I did already comment on existing Open tickets. I only comment on everything I can so that we can consolidate issues into more manageable pieces. To my estimation, these are related and perhaps the even the same code causing the problems. If that's not true, I'm open to people's cases for that. So far I've not seen anyone talk about specific code changes that would correct this ticket but not others.
We have changed our policy on reopening tickets a while ago. Tickets will only be reopened if the exact issue still exists, despite being claimed to be fixed.
As end gateways no longer spawn players inside of blocks every single time (which is what this ticket was about), this exact issue no longer exists.
The issue with tickets being reopened and edited over and over again is that at some point, you can no longer distinguish between what was information for the old bug, and what's information that's still relevant.
Awesome, that is good to know; it has been some time since I've really spent some time here. In any case, I have quite appreciated "relates to" links, since searching tickets can be a real hassle, trying to match the exact strings used to report the thing.
Can anyone explain in what manner this got fixed? What block combination was causing or not causing it? I want to get some more info before considering new tickets.
The only open tickets describe issues with transparent blocks. But clipping out of solid, non-transparent blocks is still a problem in 1.14.4, whether or not the chunks are loaded already.
I had the same clipping problem on a server while playing alone, as well as when another player was standing still right next to the destination gateway.
@ Jonathan
For context: This ticket was specifically regarding the player getting stuck inside a block upon teleporting through a gateway. What would happen was that you would get teleported clipping slightly inside the block you were supposed to be teleported on top of, and you were unable move out of the block through normal movement (walking, sprinting, jumping). You had to teleport (via ender pearls or other means), use water to swim up, or mine the block to unstuck yourself.
If this block you were clipping in was at the very edge of an island you would get pushed off the edge and fall the void with little you can do to save yourself. This itself isn't really an issue or specific to this issue, but just a game mechanic where you get pushed towards air if you're inside blocks that have air on at least one side.
Here's a video that shows the issue: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dlX73SOpOXU&feature=youtu.be&t=105
I'm not sure if the player clipping inside the block (and being stuck inside it) was caused by the 'crawling' feature (in which your hitbox becomes much smaller if your head is inside a block but your feet are not) that was introduced or not, but either way this sure appears to have been fixed as I personally haven't experienced it since. You now get teleported on top of the block.
Anyway, whether you're still experiencing the exact same issue or a slightly different one, create a new ticket if there isn't another one that already describes the exact issue.
