Could not reproduce.

I would recommend entering the command “/gamerule drowning_damage true” and see if the issue persists.

I would also recommend attaching a copy of the world with this issue if the first thing does not fix it.

Could you please provide more details or/and media files. As we have no repro of this issue.

• Are you using any add-ons or resource packs? If so, could you provide a complete list of them?

• Have you changed any game rules?

• Does the issue occurs on a newly created world?

I wanted to get the Postmortal achievement when I noticed I couldn't drown.

I used the command “/gamerule drowning_damage true”, and now I can take damage.

Also, for a long time I thought I wasn’t taking lava damage because I have netherite armor with enchantments. So now I took everything off, and with no armor I cannot take any damage from lava either. This is really strange.

So… I also decided to jump from a cliff, and I’m not taking any damage either !!!

Can you share those other commands so I can fix it?

This is meant for bug reports and not command tutorials

With that said,
/gamerule fire_damage true
with allow lava damage
and
/gamerule fall_damage true
will allow fall damage.

--
/gamerule freeze_damage true
will allow freeze damage(i.e. powdered snow)

However, this issue is Working As Intended.

Please note, that mechanics of the game may change between updates.
Things such as graphics, sounds, world creation, biomes, Redstone, villagers, and animals may not work the same in current versions.

This is my last reply to confirm that I can take damage from lava, and falls, probably snow also. I was not seeking for a tutorial so chill out.
