I’ve encountered an issue where the firework rockets are not being used or fired while I’m flying with Elytra. It was not an issue as of 2/24/26. Now on 2/25/26 I cannot use firework rockets at all for seemingly no reason. I cannot fix the issue or figure out the cause. It affects not only multiplayer servers that I join, but my own new singleplayer world I created to test the issue. I’m just in the overworld with Elytra equipped and the firework rocket in my main item hand. While gliding I try to use the firework to boost and go higher but nothing happens even though I should start flying due to the firework rocket.

If you are on Windows, you can use Windows+Alt+R to open a built-in app for recording game footage.
If you are on Mac (Mojave or later), you can use Shift+Command+5 to open a built-in app for recording your screen.
In case you don't have a program to record videos, we recommend using the free recording software OBS.

Could not reproduce in 1.21.11 or 26.1-snapshot-10.
Do other actions with the same key bind work?(placing blocks, eating food, etc.)
If you join a multiplayer server is it only you that has this issue?
Are you using any client that is not the official Minecraft launcher?
