The success message of `/scoreboard players enable` reports that it affected more players than it did

The bug

When a /scoreboard players enable command targets multiple players, it can succeed for some but fail for others. In this case, the command’s result correctly returns the number of players that were affected, but the feedback message incorrectly shows the number of players that were targeted.

How to reproduce

  1. Have two players in the world

  2. /scoreboard objectives add trigger trigger

  3. /scoreboard players enable @p trigger

  4. /scoreboard players enable @a trigger

Expected result

Should say “Enabled trigger [trigger] for (other player name)”

Observed result

Says “Enabled trigger [trigger] for 2 entities”

Notes

If execute store is used, the result is properly 1, not 2. If no players are affected, the command properly fails.
