Geyser Particle Desync/Culling at High Tick Rates (130+ TPS)

There is a rendering/synchronization issue with the Geyser particle emitter when the game's tick rate is significantly boosted. While the mechanical functionality of the Geyser (upward force/entity interaction) remains intact, the visual representation fails to scale with higher speeds.

  • At 130+ TPS: The continuous steam column begins to "stutter" or flicker, losing its steady visual flow.

  • At 140+ TPS: Particles vanish completely. The Geyser appears visually inactive despite still functioning logically.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Set up a Geyser block with Lava underneath and apply Potent Sulfur to enable the continuous steam column.

  2. Verify that particles are rendering correctly at the default tick rate (20 TPS).

  3. Increase the tick rate to 130 (e.g., via /tick rate 130). Observe the steam column breaking up.

  4. Increase the tick rate to 140. Observe the total disappearance of particles.

Expected Result

The particle emission frequency should scale proportionally with the tick rate. In "Potent Sulfur" mode, the steam should remain a solid, continuous column regardless of the TPS value.

Actual Result

The particle engine seems to hit a buffer limit or synchronization error, causing intermittent rendering at 130 TPS and a total visual cull at 140 TPS.

Technical Notes

  • Physics vs. Visuals: This is a visual-only bug. The "push" effect of the Geyser still works as intended at 140+ TPS.

  • Restoration: Lowering the tick rate back below 130 immediately restores the correct visual behavior.

  • Consistency: This occurs specifically when using the lava + sulfur setup for a constant burst.
