Java Edition crashes immediately on launch with error code 6 (SIGSEGV in libobjc.A.dylib)

Minecraft Java Edition crashes seconds after clicking Play, returning exit code 6. The crash occurs consistently after restarting the Minecraft Launcher multiple times. The fatal error originates outside the JVM in native macOS code. Does not work after updating my device to the latest version

Environment

Device: Mac16,12 (Apple Silicon, arm64) macOS version: 15.6.1 (Darwin 24.6.0) RAM: 16 GB (4 GB allocated to JVM) CPU cores: 10 Java version: OpenJDK 25.0.1+8-LTS (Microsoft build, 64-bit, ZGC, bsd-aarch64) Launcher version: 3.32.9

This error is a segmentation fault in the Objective C runtime library and it is probably a bug in macOS and not the game itself. I’d suggest trying to upgrade to the latest version of macOS, and your Mac supports it.

But this bug is more than likely out of scope.

I did and it still shows exit code 8

Estou a uma semana sem conseguir entrar no Minecraft. Já fiz tudo o que se sugerem. Reparar, Restaurar e Reinstalar. Abrir o Launcher com o Store e o XBox conectados. Nada resolveu. Utilizo o Windows 11

I think that’s a broken installation, maybe you should do a clean macOS install?

also, I opened it again and it now shows code 6 again instead of 8.
